The "Hallepoort" is a former city gate in #Brussels, built in 1381 as part of the second city wall. It is the only remaining gate of the original seven and now functions as a museum. It was renovated in the 19th century by Henri Beyaert. The gate was named after the road leading to the city of Halle. Its primary function was military, being as a defensive structure for the city.
