The New Town Hall on the Marienplatz in #München is a grand neo-gothic structure built in phases from 1867 to 1908 by Georg von Hauberrisser. Inspired by Brussels' Town Hall, its 85-meter tower and richly decorated 100-meter main façade feature statues of Bavarian Wittelsbach rulers, Henry the Lion, and an equestrian Prince Regent Luitpold. Construction began with the eastern section, expanded westward, then culminated in the full four-sided complex with the iconic tower. The elaborate limestone façade contrasts royal buildings, featuring ornate balustrades, bays, and the famous Rathaus-Glockenspiel.
