Description

A building block in #Amsterdam (Noord-Holland), built in 1898 for the "Utrecht" insurance company. Designed by A.L. van Gendt in an eclectic style, these curved, four-story shop-houses feature a ground-floor gallery, upper apartments, and a brick facade with natural stone decorations tied to the client. The slate roof has gables, balustrades, and loggias, some with mythical creature statues resembling gothic gargoyles.
