The Gevangentoren in Megen, Netherlands, is a 14th-century gate tower that was part of the city's fortifications. It served as both an entrance gate and a prison. Today, it is the only remaining structure from Megen's medieval city wall. The square-shaped tower features a saddle roof with stepped gables on two sides, arrow slits, and remnants of a machicolation. Originally, another tower stood across the street, together forming the eastern entrance to Megen. The access road from Dieden and Deursen passed by the tower. Megen had three other entrance gates in addition to this one.
