Rietveldse Toren

Description

The "Rietveldse Toren", is a wall tower in Delft, South Holland, Netherlands. Located at the end of Oosterstraat, opposite the Rietveld canal, it was constructed in the early 16th century as a defensive structure. Over time, the tower served various purposes: in 1606, a grain windmill was built atop it; from 1874 to 1901, it operated as a tavern and liquor store; and in the 20th century, it became a student residence. In 2008, the tower underwent significant restoration, including window and roof repairs. Today, it stands as a national monument and is used as a private residence.
