"Kasteel van Ordingen", in #Ordingen (Limburg) near Sint-Truiden, Belgium, began as a medieval border post for the County of Loon around 1040. It served as a stronghold for lords until the 17th century, passing through families like Harduemont and Duras. In 1611, it was sold to the Teutonic Order, with 25 commanders over two centuries, notably Hendrik van Hoensbroeck, who restored it extensively. In the 19th century, coal baron Charles Pitteurs-Hiégaeertss acquired it, and his son Léon rebuilt it in 1879, adding a neo-renaissance style.
