"Kasteel Eerde", is an estate in #Ommen (Overijssel). First mentioned in 1334 as "Huis Eerde", it became a fortified castle by 1380. Owned by the Von Eerde, Van Essen, Van Twickelo, and Van Renesse families, it was repeatedly besieged, plundered, and rebuilt. In 1708, Adolf Warner van Pallandt acquired it, constructing the current manor house in 1715. The estate passed through the Van Pallandt family, with the park redesigned in English landscape style and an orangery added.
