Description

The Belfry of Abbeville (Somme), France, constructed in 1209, is one of France's oldest belfries. Serving as Abbeville's town hall for centuries, the 33-meter-high tower was damaged during bombings in May 1940, with its roof destroyed, but it was restored in the 50's.
