The Belfry of Saint-Riquier, located in the Picardian town of Saint-Riquier (Somme), was initially constructed in 1283 as a symbol of municipal autonomy, following a dispute with the local abbey over its proximity. In the 15th century, after the town aligned with the Burgundian dukes, King Louis XI of France ordered the tower's demolition in 1475. It was subsequently rebuilt in 1528.
