Description

The Sociëteit "Tot Nut en Vermaak" in #Almelo (Overijssel) is a neo-renaissance, designed by Bernardus Vixseboxse Bz and built in 1895. Its rear and side facades were significantly altered when integrated into a modern theater hotel. Originally built with exposed brick and white plaster, it features a symmetrical eight-bay facade with two projecting sections under truncated tent roofs. Key elements include a veranda with glass enclosures, ornate entrance doors, decorative pilasters, and a grand central hall with paneled walls, fluted pilasters, and a coffered ceiling.
