Description

The Epemastate, a 17th-century manor in #IJsbrechtum (Friesland), built in 1625, housed grietmen of Wymbritseradeel. Originally a 13th-century stone stins (Frisian estate) replaced an earlier wooden structure, with remnants found in the nearby forest. The current building, occupied by the Albada family from 1620 and later by the Van Burmania and Van Eysinga families for eleven generations, underwent a major renovation in 1894, giving its facade a neo-renaissance style.
