Description

"Hof d'Intere", a renaissance castle in #Wechelderzande (Antwerpen), Belgium, was built in 1649. Its name dates to 1440, linked to Ambrosius van Dinther, who received the area as a fief from Philip the Good. Later, Johan de Proost, lord of Wechelderzande, built the current castle on a 16th-century foundation. The castle features brick and sandstone, with a tower-like avant-corps and step-gabled sides added between 1900-1911.
