A historic building in #Deventer (Overijssel) with an ornate gable, richly decorated with sculptural work. The facade, dated 1653 as indicated by cartouches on the shoulder pieces, features two Ionic pilaster sets and is crowned by a triangular pediment. The frieze bears the Latin motto: Deo Fidendum, Mediis Utendum ("Trust in God, use the means"). The design includes fruit and leaf motifs in the corner fillings, an oval attic window with an elaborately carved cartouche, and a top-floor window with a segmental pediment. The storefront dates to around 1900.
