Description

A 19th-century villa, built in 1894 in chalet style by architect A. Salm for widow H. Mees-Gockinga, located in #Groningen. It features an irregular floor plan, two stories, and a composite roof with red tiles and terracotta finials. The exterior has a gray stone base, pink sandstone water table, orange-red brick parapet with ice crystal motifs, and white-plastered facades with yellow stone bands. Notable features include segment-arched windows, ornate wooden frames, a portico with stained glass, a corner wooden bay with a spire, and a loggia with a decorative balcony. The interior retains a marble-floored hall, wooden staircase, and an en-suite room with a conservatory.
