The town hall of #Hoogstraten (Antwerpen), Belgium, was commissioned in 1525 by Count Antoon I van Lalaing and Countess Elisabeth van Culemborg. Designed by architect Rombout II Keldermans, the building features a rectangular layout with brick and sandstone construction, adorned with stepped gables and flanked by octagonal stair towers. Historically, it housed the meat hall, later the butter market, the aldermen's court, and municipal administration. The council cellar, once home to the meat and butter markets, now serves as a tourist information center. The bel-etage includes the wedding hall and the secretary's office, while the upper floor contains the council chamber and guild rooms for the Sint-Sebastiaangilde and Sint-Jorisgilde, as well as the mayor's office. The council chamber also houses the "Panorama of Hoogstraten" from 1564 and portraits of the Salm-Salm family, dukes of Hoogstraten.
