Two identical Flemish neo-renaissance buildings in #Schaerbeek (Brussel) form a corner ensemble originally with ground-floor cafes. Designed in 1897 by architects Henri Van Massenhove and Guillaume Löw, they were built in 1899 for the same owner and won first prize in Schaerbeek's 1897 facade competition for properties facing the town hall. Facades blend white brick, blue stone, and red brick accents; features include arcaded ground floor, corner polygonal turret with bulbous roof, balconies with obelisk finials and balustrade allèges.
