Refugie van Sint-Truiden

Description

The "Refugie van Sint-Truiden" in #Mechelen (Antwerpen) is a refuge house of the Sint-Truiden Abbey. In the 16th century, Canon Willem Sarens converted it into a city palace for himself and as a refuge for the Benedictine abbey, where his brother was abbot. Sold in the 17th century, it housed magistrates of the Great Council.
