Description

"Kasteel Terworm" is located in #Heerlen (Limburg). Situated on the Geleenbeek's eastern bank, the 17th-century castle, built on a 15th-century defensive structure, features a T-shaped layout with two wings, saddle roofs, and gabled facades. Surrounded by a moat, it resembles a water castle, accessible via a 1843 stone bridge. The oldest part, a former round tower, was reshaped into an octagonal one in the 17th century. The U-shaped forecourt includes a 1670 gatehouse with a drawbridge and pyramid roof.
