"Huis te Lathum", a protected noble house and former knightly estate in #Lathum (Gelderland), dates back to the 15th century, with a 1562 coat of arms. Originally owned by the Van Lathum family, it passed to the Baer family in the late 14th century. First mentioned in 1227, it was noted as a Gelre count's farm in 1243. In 1355, Frederik van Baer was ordered to compensate for burning it down. During the 1672 Dutch War, Louis XIV negotiated Arnhem's surrender there.
