The former Café-Restaurant "Riche" in #Amsterdam (Noord-Holland), evoking Flemish neo-renaissance style with white sandstone and Swedish granite facade, opened on June 2, 1883, just in time for Amsterdam's World Exhibition. Entrepreneurs Van der Vliet, Schmitz, and Heineken filled a gap for luxury dining, featuring a marble entrance from Rokin to nine private cabinets on the bel-etage, a grand dining hall, and salon on the first floor via Enge Kapelsteeg.
