This canal house in #Edam, built in 1659 in the style of Philips Vingboons' Dutch classicism, features a striking broken pediment topped by a swan sculpture, symbolizing its original owner, merchant Jan Michielszoon "De Swaan". The facade includes pilasters and an ornate 18th-century lower section with a carved door. Inside, a 17th-century vestibule, Ionic-pilastered chimney, three stained-glass panels dated 1659, door surrounds, and a carved male figure corbel from Culemborg survive.
