A monumental house in #Medemblik. The building originated in the 17th century (around 1650). In 1728, it received its current ornamented Louis XIV-style facade, commissioned by wealthy timber merchant, shipowner, and mayor Thames Veen. Features include a curved pediment with the Veen family coat of arms, corner vases, stone balustrade, framed doorway, and round windows on the upper floor.
