Description

"Zionsburg" is an approximately eight-hectare estate located in the heart of #Vught (Noord-Brabant), the Netherlands. In the 13th century, the Teutonic Order established a commander's house on this site, which was destroyed by fire in 1543. The ruins remained until 1663, when Cornelus Kuchlinus purchased the land and built a new country house named Zionsburg. In the late 19th century, the Marggraff family acquired the estate and constructed a residence in neo-renaissance style around 1880. In 2003, the house burned down under unclear circumstances. In 2018, plans were announced to rebuild it.
