Description

The "Leopold II Gallery", constructed between 1878 and 1880 in the Parc de Sept-Heures in #Spa (Luik), is a 130-meter-long covered walkway designed by architect William Hansen. Commissioned by King Leopold II, the gallery allowed spa guests to stroll comfortably in various weather conditions. It features a cast iron structure with a wooden roof and is flanked by two brick pavilions: the Pavillon des Petits Jeux near Place Royale, serving as a space for social games and reading, and the Pavillon Marie Henriette, named after the king's wife. Originally 6 meters wide, it was later expanded to 12 meters to accommodate more visitors.
