The Accijnstoren is a tower in Alkmaar, built in 1622. Originally, it functioned as a tax office where imported goods were declared, generating significant revenue for the city. The tower features a square layout, constructed with brick and natural stone bands, and includes a bell. It partially stands on a bridge, which was initially a swing bridge replaced by a drawbridge in 1903; due to increasing traffic, this bridge has since been removed. In 1924, the tower was moved four meters to facilitate the widening of the Bierkade.
