The Abbey of Heylissem was a Premonstratensian monastery founded in 1129 in #Opheylissem (Waals-Brabant). Originally a double monastery, the nuns relocated in 1142. Between 1768 and 1780, architect Laurent-Benoît Dewez reconstructed the abbey in neoclassical style, featuring a 47-meter-long façade and a central dome. In 1870, architect Alphonse Balat transformed the buildings and park.
