"Hotel Des Indes", located in #DenHaag (Zuid-Holland), was built in 1858 as a city palace for Baron Thierry van Brienen, designed by Arend Roodenburg. The palace featured a grand courtyard, stables, and a ballroom. After the baron’s death in 1863, it was sold and transformed into a hotel by 1881, named after Hotel des Indes in Batavia, and boasted 120 rooms. Architectural expansions occurred in 1892, 1905, and 1931, with a significant renovation after a 1930 fire.
