Broerenkerk

Description

The "Broerenkerk" in #Zwolle (Overijssel) was built in 1465 as part of a Dominican monastery. The gothic church features a three-aisled hall design with a distinct choir. The Dominicans used it until 1580, when the monastery was dissolved during the Reformation. In 1640, the church became Protestant and served this purpose for centuries. During a restoration, medieval ceiling paintings were discovered under plaster.
