A striking Beaux-Arts apartment building in #Antwerpen (built between 1925-1927) stands at the corner of Antwerpen's Meir and Kolveniersstraat, designed by architect Camille Janssens for the Brussels-based Société Belge Immobilière (SBI). The nine-storey corner tower, clad in white stone with lavish Louis XIV-inspired sculpture by Alfons De Rydt, exceeded height limits yet was approved for its artistic merit and contribution to housing shortages.
