"Château de Laclaireau", located in #Ethe (Luxembourg), Belgium, was built between 1852 and 1855 by Count Camille de Briey (1799-1877), a senator, former Foreign Affairs minister, and diplomat whose time in Russia influenced its French-Russian Renaissance style. An earlier moated residential castle from 1640, owned by the Lespine de Laclaireau family (ironworks proprietors) and later the de Briey through marriage, was burned by French troops on April 16, 1794, during the Revolution. Camille, the grandson, rebuilt the current one on a new site.
