Description

"Huis der Onbeschaamden" in #Zaltbommel (Gelderland) features a plastered and painted facade that preserves substantial remains of a richly decorated renaissance front from around 1550 on the upper floor. Three windows are divided by candelabra columns on sculpted bases, topped with standing putti carrying small entablatures. Straight pilasters with renaissance ornament rise above, while richly profiled, sculptured keystone arches crown the windows. A balustrade with recessed panels, separated by pilasters topped with carved acorns, completes the facade. Lizard and monkey figures on the lower part are sculptures by Van der Schaft.
