Description

The "Historisches Kaufhaus" in #FreiburgimBreisgau is a striking late gothic/renaissance building. Origins trace to a 14th-century customs office (first mentioned 1378). The current form, facing the Minster, was built 1520-1532 (likely by Lienhart Müller). It features a dark-red facade, four arcades with balcony, polygonal bay windows with tiles, late-gothic curtain arches, and Habsburg statues/coats of arms.
