"Corvin Castle" (or "Hunedoara Castle") in #Hunedoara, is a stunning gothic-renaissance fortress. Built mainly in the 15th century by John Hunyadi over an older 14th-century fort, it transformed from a military stronghold into a grand residence. Key phases: 1440s-1456 under Hunyadi, continued to ~1480 with renaissance elements added by Matthias Corvinus. Features include tall towers, drawbridge, inner courtyard, Knights' Hall, Diet Hall, ornate stone carvings, double walls, and colorful roofs. It is one of Eastern Europe's largest & best-preserved medieval castles.
