Berliner Dom

Description

The "Berliner Dom", a Protestant church on Museum Island in #Berlin, traces its roots to a 15th-century court chapel. Previous structures evolved from gothic to baroque (Johann Boumann) and neoclassical (Karl Friedrich Schinkel). The current opulent version was built 1894-1905 under Emperor Wilhelm II by architect Julius Raschdorff in neo-renaissance/neo-baroque style, featuring a prominent 98m dome, ornate mosaics, and imperial grandeur.
